remote cruising workshop

Dreaming of sailing your own boat off the beaten path?

The Remote Cruising Workshop
will help get you there

Join us in Alaska this autumn for eleven days of training in remote sailing techniques. Discover what it takes to "up your game" for the challenge of extremes in weather and remoteness, while we explore the beautiful glaciers and inlets in late season Alaska.

This is an ideal opportunity for people dreaming of sailing to the Antarctic, Arctic, Tierra del Fuego, South Island New Zealand, Alaska, Greenland, or tropical atolls. Whether you're in the high latitudes or the tropics, this workshop will prepare you to leave the marina, boat-yards, technicians, chandleries, and grocery stores far behind.

Hands on practice using shorelines, weather forecasting, and voyage planning.

Designing simple systems for electrics, plumbing, and navigation.

Workshop-type discussions to fine-tune your preparations.

This is also an ideal opportunity for a sea-trial if you are contemplating building a sister ship to Seal. (Several are currently under construction.)
